CBD:

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the 111 cannabinoids found in cannabis. Next to THC, CBD is the second most common cannabinoid in marijuana. This cannabinoid is known to effectively treat inflammation, pain, and anxiety—but delivers no euphoric “high” like THC.

Cannabis:

A plant, used for both medical and recreational purposes for thousands of years. The plant has three species of flowering herbs. Cannabis sativacannabis indica, and cannabis ruderalis.

Bud:

The flower of the cannabis plant. Buds from the cannabis plant contain the most resinous trichomes.

Hemp:

The non-euphoric variety of cannabis that contains little or no THC. By legal definition in the United States, hemp may contain no more than 0.3 percent THC. Unlike

Cannabinoids:

The chemical compounds found in cannabis that are manufactured by the resinous trichomes found mostly on the bud, or flower, of the plant.

Marijuana:

The U.S. Had A Mania For Marijuana! The term marijuana was given to cannabis in the early 20th century by prohibitionist forces within the United States government and big business. Their intent was to outlaw the public sell and use of cannabis.

CBD 101! For many, CBD also known as cannabidiol, is now a major aspect of their daily wellness routine. The benefits of CBD has been evolving over the years, with so much information about its uses, and benefits going around choosing the right product can be difficult. Our basic CBD education guide will help you determine cannabis fact from cannabis opinion. Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid shown to reduce symptoms in people living with seizure and spasm disorders such as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. It is the cannabinoid most often recommended for elderly and other patients who must remain clear-headed in their activities because it is non-psychoactive, meaning it will not produce euphoria or the feeling of being “high.”

It works by reacting with cannabinoid receptors throughout the body and works at relieving inflammation and pain while producing a calming effect in patients. For this reason, it is known to be a possible treatment for anxiety and sleep disorders.

Effective CBD can work with our bodies through the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is a complex biological system. Much is unknown about how it works. Experts do know that it has the potential to impact several processes, including appetite, sleep, mood, and memory.
